<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;">Statewide, the estimated energy savings for delivery and installation of qualified heating and cooling products is approximately 16 million kilowatt hours per year. A reduction in energy use of that size translates to a yearly savings of almost $1.4 million in energy costs for Tennesseans and reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere by 32 million pounds annually.</span></p>

Once each state<em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> </em><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>is approved they can begin to start their own appliance rebate programs. The <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http;/www.governmentappliancerebate.com" target="_blank" title="tennessee appliance rebates">government appliance rebate</a></span> program should be available for most consumers nationwide by late 2009 or early 2010, depending on each state&rsquo;s progress.</span><script type="text/javascript"><!--

<p><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">How Will the Appliance Rebate Program Help The Economy?</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;">The average home spends about $2,200 on energy bills every year, and changing to appliances that have earned the ENERGY STAR rating can save $75 a year in energy costs, while saving the environment by reducing fossil fuel emissions. In addition </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">consumer spending, while on the rise, should increase once the government <a href="http://www.appliancerebateprograminfo.ocm" target="_blank" title="Tn appliance rebates">appliance rebate</a> program goes into full effect.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: EN;"></span></p>
